Wait a minute: I thought Mt. Teneriffe was always lousy weather

She's stunned, too
I mean, you can actually see a few feet.
Mt. Teneriffe is not an easy hike. It's steep and loose and gnarly. And it's always lousy weather. Well, almost. The only time I've been on the trail headed for the summit when the weather wasn't absolutely terrible wound up being cut short when I decided to be a parent instead of an adventurer. Aside from that one time... terrible conditions.
This trip... not so bad. Sure, it was dark and cold when I started, but it wasn't raining. Sure, the trail was sloppy and slick, but I didn't lose any boots to mud. Sure, the wind was blowing, the snow started falling, and I couldn't see more than a couple of miles, but I wasn't fearing for my life or wondering if I was at the top.
So yeah, it was a pretty decent morning on the mountain. Of course, I think we could improve on it. I'd be willing to suffer through a blue sky day. You know. For variety.
