First time at Moosefish
posted by John : October 12, 2015
About us

We're a family of adventurers in the Pacific Northwest exploring everything the natural world has to offer. We share our adventures here to encourage and inspire others so they can join us in the outdoors.

We believe every adventure should be safe, fun, and successful. The order of those qualities (safe, fun, successful) is important and we'll abandon a summit bid if it's not safe and fun. (Sometimes some of us have a harder time doing that than others, but we're working on it.)

We write about mountaineering, backpacking, hiking, snowshoeing, flyfishing, letterboxing, car camping, kids, and dogs. There are gear reviews and giveaways, too, so keep an eye out for those.

In addition to posting here, we write for other sites and publications on occasion and post on Twitter as @moosefish, Facebook as moosefishdotcom, Instagram as @moosefish, and Yonder as @moosefish.

We're ambassadors for Tubbs Snowshoes, Deuter backpacks, WoolX">, and TurboPup K-9 Complete Meal Bars. All make products we're passionate about. We don't represent products or companies we don't believe in.

We support Washington Trails Association and the Northwest Avalanche Center.

The only other thing you need to know is that everything here is ours and we're happy to let you read, view, and watch it. However, you can't use it for any other purpose without our express, written permission.

Get in touch

We love talking about adventures and gear and ways to get kids and families outside. The best way to contact us is via email or direct message on Twitter at @moosefish or Facebook at moosefishdotcom.

If you'd like to talk about working with us to do gear reviews or testing prototypes under NDA, contact us via email.

Affiliate relationships

We have entered into relationships with a number of companies to help support the web site. When we write about specific products we may include links to online retailers where you can purchase them. A portion of your purchase will benefit us. Affiliate links will be clearly indicated.

Some affiliate agreements require specific language be included. That language is published below.

Moosefish.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com.
