Mt. Washington on fire!
August 17, 2008
Amy and I were lying in bed enjoying the best lightening storm to roll over the house in years and I was just starting to nod off when she said, "FIRE!" Sure enough, a fire was burning near the summit of Mt. Washington. 911 already knew about it and the fire grew to 1,600 feet before being contained by fire crews in the morning. Nope, we didn't make up the photo. Kiro TV covered it so you know it must be true.

He chose... poorly
August 7, 2008
A worthy adversary, he stole food from the traps and survived blistering heat in the locked up truck for three days while Amy and the kids were stuck at home. Peanut butter was too much for him and an old-school trap did the trick. Next time, pick someone else's car.

Better than TNAB
August 7, 2008
Henry shows his excitement at a Thursday night concert. I missed Kendall Peak, but that will still be there for me in years to come. Maybe by going to the concert with the kids they will be on the summit with me.

Moose Peak, Lake Lillian, and the Olympics
July 25-27, 2008
When the mountain you really want to climb is on fire you need to find somewhere else to go. Risking a ban by the IOC we tempted fate and headed west for our own Olympic Adventure.
