Thanks to the Payment Card Industry's information security requirements I wound up with a six-day conference in San Diego. For me it meant that from 9am until 5:30pm I would be sitting in a conference room with a bunch of other nerds. Pretty cool. (Heck, my team even won the hacker challenge on the last day!)
For Amy it meant she got to sit by the pool and do some shopping under blue skies (even if the temperatures were only in the upper 60s).
Amy and I did get to spend a little bit of time together. Saturday night we wandered Seaport Village just ouside our hotel. Sunday we took a cab to the Hotel del Coronado and wandered the beach there. Instead of taking a cab back Amy suggested we walk to the ferry. Turns out we walked almost four miles that day and ended it at a bar atop our hotel.
Amy left Monday night to rescue NanaPapa from the kids and dog so I spent the last couple of days alone eating BBQ where Top Gun was filmed and hiking around Torrey Pines State Reserve. I got home Friday morning at about 1am, slept for a few hours and was up getting ready for work at 5am.
Busy, but fun.
