Amy's been dying to get Clara into pigtails since... well.. the day she found out Clara was a girl. It's been a long fifteen months for Amy, but finally, with help from Nana Judy's orthdontic rubber bands, Clara sprouted tails out the side of her head.
I suppose it's worth mentioning that since it was Grandma Joan's birthday we hung out with her today, too. She met me in Seattle and we visited the new Science Fiction museum at the EMP. The stuff they had was great and well presented, but there wasn't really enough of it to satisfy. In particular, Star Wars material was missing. On the upside, they did have a bunch of stuff from Red Dwarf!
Afterwards we met with Ryan and Amy for lunch before returning home. Amy joined us in North Bend while we waited for Amy and Clara to get home. (Huh? Remember: Amy C. is the Amy of moosefish fame. Amy E. is my sister. Freaky, I know.)
Where were Amy and Clara? Hanging out with Amy's mom and Amy's cousins Shannon and Sierra. Sierra is Shannon's daughter which makes her a cousin of just about everyone, don't ask to what degree and how far separated.
Once the girls got back to the mountains we had dinner and went for a walk. No elk tonight, but plenty of whackos shooting off insanely large fireworks across the river.
