I worry about what my kids will be like when they grow up. Will they be well-mannered or the type of spoiled annoyances I'm usually so annoyed by? Will they take me hiking or leave me in the home?
When I leave them home so I can go to work or get away for the weekend with Amy, will they have parties or do their homework as they were instructed to? Will I find out about their behavior on social media?
If Treen's weekend is any indication, it will be the latter.
We were at a 90th birthday party. She went to the dog park. We hung out with relatives we haven't seen in… uh… forever. She climbed Mt. Si. I'm on a bus (instead of the train) to come home to get her. She's partying at the Yellow Dog Inn.
Clearly, she didn't miss us too much and that's good. But I am a little envious of all the fun she had.
And I'm super grateful to all my friends (KC, EWB, and the Yellow Dog Inn) for watching her while we were away. I can only imagine what kind of trouble she'd have gotten in if they weren't around.
