Snow at last!

Start to a great day
When I can see Rainier from the Greenway it's going to be a good day.
I love the way my headlamp bounces off the individual crystals in the snow so it sparkles as I move. I love the way it's dark, but not dark at the same time. I love the tracks I can see for all the invisible creatures that share the mountain with us and the crisp taste of powder on my tongue.
I know it's just Mailbox, but when it's covered in snow it's magic. Especially after we've had so little snow this season. Just when I was ready to throw in the towel on Mailbox and stick to other trails for Sunday Services it delivers like this.
I missed the entire month of January on Mailbox, but I think I'll be back once or twice more.
