And neither Treen nor I am eager to see it go.
While I don't anticipate beating last year's record-setting 28 trips to the summit, but Mailbox will continue to feature prominently in my hiking life. It's just too close, too familiar, and too valuable a workout to skip. Even if it is hard to get up early on a Sunday.
This trip was a good one. Good weather except a brutal wind at the top. Good conditions once I got to the Green Gate. Good company once they caught up with me. (I started 20 minutes earlier than they did, so don't be too impressed.)
They're not all good, but occasionally... goodness.
