Round two of the Romp to Stomp was down south in Oregon. After a brilliant sunny day in Washington and a glorious day setting the course before we arrived we were guaranteed, guaranteed a spectacular event.
Well, right up until the time when the event manager for Tubbs jinxed it by suggesting it would be the fourth straight bluebird day.
Setup started early by headlamp and only really got better when we got the tent up and could shelter from the snow and wind.
The event still sold out and the participants had a blast. Our tent was right next to the stage so it felt a lot more involved than at the Washington event when we were way in the back.
The only downside was that Mt. Hood, so prominent the day before, was hidden almost completely hidden the entire day. Lame.
Still, a good trip for a good cause.
