Remember the last time we went to the Keechelus Dam? Gray skies and snow falling? Don't get me wrong. It was a blast. So much so that we decided to go back.
Only this time we had both Clara and blue skies to accompany us. And we knew where we were going.
The weather was mild. The hoar frost was epic. And the fun was had.
This trip's bonus: No massive crashes and no tears.
We even explored more along the dam and went out on the walkway to the control tower. If you want a super freaky experience, look down through the grating as you walk high over the lake. (Unfortunately, this freaked the kids out and they turned back.)
I really can't say enough about this destination for easy snowshoeing and snow play. Good times were had by all.
