When the highlight of the trip is snacks at the turnaround (a mile short of your destination) it's a pretty good indication it wasn't a spectacular place.
As Clara put it, "This is just a road."
Well, yeah. But it was a road we hadn't traveled. And there were supposed to be sweet waterfalls at the end.
It's probably a great time on a bike. Or a horse. Or if it's not in the mid 20s on New Year's Day.
Oh, well. At least we kept the tradition alive.
