Um... nothing.

No, seriously. What did you guys do? I'm really interested. I'm trying to engage.

Oh. Uh... we went hiking.

Really? Cool! Where'd you go? How far? Was it hot? Mozzies?

Uh... I dunno.

Oh. What else did you do?

Oh, nothing. Girl stuff.

Oh...

She thinks I don't know what she was doing. But I know. It's the sort of stuff that always happens when the girls go away for the weekend.

First: Wine. Lots of wine. They start with something decent, but soon they're drinking white wine or... heaven forbid, rose.

After the wine comes the pillow fight. Amy even takes her own pillows when she goes anywhere. I think they're specially engineered to ensure she wins the fights.

And of course, the pillow fight takes place in lingerie. It's totally unfair, too. She won't wear the lingerie at home (if it's flannel it's no lingerie), but when she's with her friends I swear that's about all she wears.

Then they do things they know we'd want to do with them. Even if they hate those things. Like going for a hike. Chosen specifically to drive me crazy. I bet they watched some baseball, too.

Finally, they head home more tired than when they left, but somehow recharged.

Next time I'm going to send a spy cam along. I hear there are some really small ones on the market now.
