Pumpkins in the wheelbarrow
Clara and Aura hang out with the other cute pumpkins in the patch at Fall City Farms.
After a quick hike up to the falls we headed into Fall City to find the perfect pumpkins for Clara's first Halloween. Our traditional patch is Fall City Farms which is next to Fall City Firearms, Fall City Sports Grill, and Fall City Park. It seems everything in Fall City is named "Fall City something." Huh.
We met Clara's friend Aura and her parents, Cindy and Joey, at the patch and proceeded to search for that special pumpkin. We wound up with some 40 pounds of pumpkin. It sounds like a lot, but it's surprisingly only a few.
After forking over our Fall City cash we headed for to Small Fryes for lunch. It's Fall City's answer to Scott's Dairy Freeze, but doesnt' quite measure up. Oh well, at least we can say we've eaten there.
After seeing the B-family safely out of the "wilderness" (as they kept referring to the lower Snoqualmie Valley) we headed home to plant, plant, and plant some more. We put in a new tree near the front door, the beginning of a hedge along the front yard, and some hopefully hardy bunchberry to replace the ones that didn't quite make it.
Fun, fun, fun.
