With the girls all at Auntie Nicole's baby shower Grandpa Jack joined me and Henry (and Tokul) for a boy's day above Lake Hancock. Rumor had it the snow level was way high and I wanted to know just how high it was.
Wow. It was high. The rain didn't turn to snow until we were at about 3,200 feet. It wasn't sticking for a couple hundred feet above that. When we stopped at about 3,700 feet there was a paltry two inches on the road. It's gonna be a rough summer...
We didn't really have a destination in mind so we got dressed for the blowing snow and started walking down the road. Henry had a blast chasing Tokul and looking at mysterious footprints in the snow (either his own or Tokul's). We moseyed for about a third of a mile until we found a snow-free spot under a big tree. (Have I mentioned how little snow there is?)
Lunch was had and we moseyed back to the car. There was much moseying.
No epic adventures, but we got out into the snow and spent some quality time with Grandpa Jack.
Total distance was about three quarters of a mile and 200 feet of gain.
