PCT south of Snoqualmie Pass

After hiking for a week with the boys and taking a couple of weeks off it was time to get back on the trail with the girls. Clara and Tokul joined me for an uninspired day hike north along the PCT from Windy Pass to Lodge Lake.

Before Clara came along I had hiked from Snoqualmie Pass to Lodge Lake with Amy's father, Carl. He and I had also hiked a portion of the PCT while doing the Cold Creek - Silver Peak Loop. Nick, Dan, and I had hiked another section to get to Silver Peak, but we were missing this section north from Windy Pass.

Unfortunately, this section was the least interesting of everything I've already seen south of Snoqualmie Pass. It drops from Windy Pass to Olallie Meadows which are nice, but after that the trail doesn't explore any other interesting areas. It crosses under numerous power lines and three roads. Most of the area looks like it was logged recently and you never get away from the dull roar of I-90.

Lodge Lake is a pretty, small lake. There were a bunch of other people there so Tokul didn't get a chance to swim all that much. Clara had a quick lunch and then we headed back south to the car. Happily, the next piece of the PCT south starts at Mirror Lake and head to Stampede Pass which will hopefully be a lot more interesting.
