A bouncy birthday

Whee

Bouncy bouncy bouncy. It's always a special day when we go to Bouncy House. It's usually a open bounce time mid morning during the week or occasionally for someone else's birthday party. But when it's for your birthday party and your sister's birthday party it's clearly going to be a great time. Add the threat of snow and what more could you ask for?

My job was largely to handle Henry. Amy was in charge of food and drink and bouncing. The girls were unencumbered by hosting duties and had a ton of fun.

The best part, for me anyway, was watching the girls having such a great time together. Even with loads of their friends running around they mostly played together.

The fruit-based brunch was a hit (and healthy!) and the cupcakes were well received.

As an added bonus the girls agreed that all kids should have books and since some kids didn't have books they wanted to help. Instead of gifts we asked that books be donated to the Odessa Brown Children's Clinic in the Central District.

So in the end we had fun and did some good. Good times all around.

Even better, it started snowing heavily that afternoon setting up a next day party in the snow. What a great birthday!
