Sure it looks like a real trail

Don't get me wrong. I like short trails. They're cute and easy and perfect for an old man's hip. Heck, I even sang their praises after a sub-mile walk with the girls.

But lordy lordy I'm desperate for some real adventure. The closest I came in April was a wander with friends on the east side of the mountains. There were trails and dirt roads to walk on, but it was new and different and felt great.

I also biked a bunch. L and H were both thrilled to take me for bike rides and even allowed me to do a couple of hiking side trips when we came across trails. Tinkham has become quite adept and not getting run over (after that one minor incident) and we learned 10 mph is about where she transitions from a trot to a lope.

All that was great, but I'm keen to get back to hiking. Real hiking. PT promises that's what will happen in May. Fingers crossed.
