2:15am is too early to get up even for hiking unless you really need that alpine start to get where you're going. You know. Like Mt. Rainier. Certainly not Cave Ridge. Unless you need to be back for work at 7am. Too bad I wasn't moving fast enough to make such an early start pay off.
