All good things must come to an end.
The TNAB season began way back in March on Poo Poo Point with lousy weather, but it sure didn't stay that way. We had a bunch of great hikes (I was there for 17 in all) including some I hadn't done before and I even helped try out some routes that won't make the cut.
The finale is always fun, but especially when you're introducing a bunch of new hikers to TNAB. Oh, sure, Clara's been out before, but it was a first time for Amy, Lilly (not in the backpack), and Henry (not in the front pack). Hmm... maybe it was really only Amy's first time. (Showing up at the Pour House doesn't quite cut it.)
Josie helped guide us to the top and the presence of a non-parent helps keep certain whines in check. (Some, not all.) Poor Larry hiked the whole way with us, too. Sorry about that.
We had quick sandwiches and then headed down getting to the car just a little after dark. The rest of the TNAB crew headed to the beach at Rattlesnake Lake for a BBQ, but we headed home. Bedtime waits for nothing, not even TNAB.
Total distance is about five miles with 1,200 feet of gain.
