On a surprise trip to Portland I snuck away for a couple of hours to Tryon Creek State Park just south of downtown. The park is crisscrossed by a bundle of trails wandering the woods around Tryon Creek. I tagged five bridges and eight different named trails to total 2.8 miles and about 400 feet of gain. Pretty good for being just a few minutes from downtown.
