Grandpa Jack has two sets of tickets for us this year. The last couple of years it's been all about Clara, but now that Lilly was all about football we figured we'd give her a shot.
Sure, Lilly had some trouble differentiating between the Mariners, Huskies, and Seahawks. When it really mattered, though, she could shout out the most important words:
TOUCHDOWN!
FIRST DOWN!
SAFETY!
She was even pretty good at just yelling. Clara never did like that part, but Lilly just opened up and roared along with the rest of the crowd.
At half time I was thrilled to see the Husky marching band taking the field. I had visions of Lilly singing the fight song with them, but they didn't play it. (Probably for the best since the Huskies didn't quite win the day before.)
Lilly really liked Grandpa Jack's office before and after the game and ran all the way around the perimeter of the 52nd floor looking out the windows at each point of the compass.
Even though we only lasted until half way through the third quarter it was still a big win for Lilly. Oh yeah, the Seahawks won, too.
