It's been killing me that Tink hasn't been on our home trail. It's just upstream from the homestead, but with all the other dogs we've stayed on obscureandabandoned trails until she was fully vaccinated. Guess what. She's been pumped full of the good stuff so it was time.
As adventures go, it wasn't much. Just a mile and a half round trip to the first viewpoint. A little bit of gain. A little bit of river play. It was perfect. We met a few other dogs and they were all positive interactions. We're headed toward a life of a well adjusted, well socialized dog.
However, it's clear Tink doesn't really get the whole river thing just yet. She will, surely, but in the meantime it's hilarious to watch.
She got her first view of the waterfall that's our usual destination and then we returned home. She was completely exhausted. She slept the rest of the day. It was a glorious break from the usual puppy insanity. It didn't last long, though. She was ready to go in a few hours. Oh, to be a puppy.
