Remember when... there was still snow in them thar hills?

Remember the snow?
It was awesome.
Summer round these parts starts with rain and snow and cold. By the middle of the season the we get blue skies and hard snow. At the end it's dry and hot and then it fades into fall. As I write this I'm looking back in time almost two months.
At the time there were flies and mosquitoes buzzing around as we climbed through the snow, but now I can only think of the sweet chill coming up through the thin soles of my shoes and the light breeze that blew the dogs' ears back.
I know it seems like I'm waxing awfully nostalgic for last season and the next season can't compare. Give me a few months and I'll be dreaming of the warm nights and easy footing of the right now.
