First day of K
Of course, we were there to wish him well (and maybe celebrate a few hours of freedom, too).
Our baby boy, he is no more. Now he's a kindergartener with a mind of his own.
Exhibit A: It's forecast to be 80F for his kindergarten assessment. This is when he meets his teacher and she previews his abilities. Shorts and a t-shirt are recommended. Nope. He wants to be all fancy for his new teacher. That includes a tie. I wear ties to funerals.
Exhibit B: We suggested we'd pick him up at school. Nope. He wants to ride the bus like his sisters did. Never mind that adds 30 minutes to his day. And that's on a good day.
Need I continue?
It's going to be a fun year watching him get used to school five days a week and homework and... yeah.
