With all the SCIENCE that goes on around here you can bet we were thrilled to get to participate in the official science fair at school. And now that Lilly's in first grade she gets to do a project, too.
Clara investigated mountains and why they were so pointy. Yup. you guessed it. Rivers carved the mountain valleys. That's surprisingly easy to see on a map, but surprisingly hard to reproduce with water and sand. In the end, we had some pretty nice looking ridges that I'd totally be climbing if I was an ant.
Lilly opted to find out what Treen liked most: Hot dogs, cheese, or dog treats. Turns out it was hot dogs, but not exclusively. And there wasn't a huge difference between cheese and dog treats. I know, I know. Weird, huh?
We're already thinking about projects for next year. Or at least I am. If you have any great ideas don't hesitate to send them in.
(No animals or mountains were harmed in the course of these experiments.)
