Why drive when you can bus? Well, usually we drive because having kids who want to go home right now and having to wait for a bus isn't a great plan. But what if you could ride the bus and have a ride home? Perfection!
So... on the way to a rare day game at Safeco Amy dropped me and the kids at the Park and Ride. It was a little spooky given that's my usual commute and it was Monday, but the wonder of the kids differed so greatly from the resignation of my usual fellow bus mates it was clear I wasn't heading to the office.
The next everyday event that was a big deal? How about buying a hot dog? Mmm... Edgar dogs.
With the kids on a high we joined friends and family to pretend to watch the game, but instead chased kids around. Henry took great delight in sitting right on the edge. No matter who was next to him it still freaked me out.
So I left. Fine. I'll take the kids. We just happened to find a spot on the 300 level with no one around. Sweet. Let's just chill. Then who should show up? THE BAD DANCER! Yeah! I know! Can you believe it?
So we (the kids) danced and showed they may have picked up more than half their genes from Amy. Some day they'll figure out how lucky they are.
Speaking of lucky. We actually won. The novelty! (Actually, we're tearing it up right now. Can you believe it?)
While waiting for AAA to come jump the car <sigh> we asked the kids what their favorite part of the day was.
Henry: The bus.
Lilly: The bus. And winning.
Clara: Winning. Duh.
Heaven help us.
