Hurry hurry, we'll beat traffic. Yeah. Not so much. Another five hour drive to Portland. There has got to be a better way. (The train, you say? Hold on to that thought.)
So Saturday morning we wake and spend the day buying and planting... uh... plants for Goggi. The weather was surprisingly good (or at least not bad) so it wasn't the horror it could have been. Plus, the kids are getting old enough that they are actually useful. Who knew this day would come? Why'd we stop at three? We could have had our own landscaping crew.
I'll skip over all the visiting mellowness because you really don't care unless you were there, right?
Across town we hit OMSI and had the most fun in the ball pit place with vacuums and blowers and all kinds of torture devices. I think Amy had the most fun getting the bucket to dump balls all over. So much fun it ended in tears when it was time to go.
I left Monday night to head home for work on Tuesday. The train was... there. Not super fast. Certainly not well connected, but doable. Especially since this time Papa picked me up at the station instead of making me take a bus to Issaquah.
Amy and the kids stayed an extra day and got more time with Grams before coming home Wednesday.
It was a quick, but busy trip. One of these days maybe we'll take some time and just laze about Portland. (Yeah, right.)
