Since our first kidded Halloween in 2003 we've had lots of adventures on Halloween. Mostly princesses, but also bugs and lions and even a hot dog. Now that Henry's able to express his wishes (and there AIN'T nobody else coming along) things are settling down.
As expected, the girls were both princesses. Snow White and Princess Aurora, of course. Henry has been all about cowboys for a fair while so it was only natural he would be a cowboy. It didn't hurt that both Lex and Jack were also to be cowboys, too.
We started the day at NanaPapa's and after trick-or-treating them (and a nap) we headed to Daryl and Michelle's. As before, we crammed down a dinner before leaving Michelle's father to protect the candy bowl while we plundered other houses.
There seemed fewer older kids on the streets, which suited us just fine. Of course, we somehow crossed paths with a group of high schoolers. The boys were remarkably well mannered and the girls exhibited an oh-how-cute attitude toward Henry (or maybe me?) that I don't remember from previous years.
In the end, we had much candy and were able to get back to the house in time for the kids to go to bed. Since it was Saturday we stayed up and played games. Weekend Halloweens are pretty cool.
