Up early and on the road by 8am made for cranky kids, a crankier Daddy (until my coffee kicked in), and few other cars on the road. The miles flew by and we arrived in Chelan well before Molly's birthday party at the park under the bright sun.
The kids reacquainted themselves with each other and then it was party time. Clara had no problem joining in with Molly's local friends. Lilly was a bit slower so she played a lot with us and on the swings. Henry was a handful, as usual, so I chased him around and that's why there are so many more photos of him than the other kids.
After the party the kids had a blast playing Molly's Wii (though I understand that after hours there are adult players who spend a fair amount of time on it). Now I fear there's a Wii in our future and then there will almost definitely need to be an intervention.
Sunday we had a tasty breakfast under a clear, but cold sky. After a bit more playing it was time to head home. The good thing about having Molly, Nicole, and Uncle Boppi so close is that we can go there for a quick weekend. The bad thing is that we can go there for a quick weekend and it seems as soon as we arrive it's time to leave. Oh, well. There's always next time.
