Ok, so sometimes it's a pain. On the Thursday before Winter Break, though, it was all the girls could do to contain their excitement. Eventually, they'll understand that a missed day of school isn't really a day off just delayed. For now, though, they loved the snow.

I was working from home to avoid the roads so Amy got the kids into the snow while I peeked out the window from time to time. No surprise, they made angels, fell down a lot, ate way too much snow, and went in search of sledding hills. (Sadly, none of the hills around us are worthy.)

After about an hour outside the kids were well and truly chilled and came in for hot chocolate and soup. And half an hour later they were warm and cozy and ready to go back outside. Silly kids!
