We hired a guide toward the middle of the week to go looking for the elusive moose.
Several years ago, while on a fishing trip in Montana, Amy and I got up at a time in the morning not fit for man or beast in order to drive a couple hundred miles through Yellowstone and Grand Tetons National Parks in order to see a moose.
We saw grizzly bears and buffalos ("tatanka"), but the excursion was a failure then because we found no moose. (Not even in Moose, Wyoming. Go figure.)
This time we were luckier.
